Good news! Extraordinary people are meeting at the inaugural TAP Chronic Pain Conference. The National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association (NFMCPA) teamed up with the International Myopain Society to design an outstanding program with scientific research, education on treatments, and resources.
The NFMCPA specifically created opportunities for patients to learn from fibromyalgia and chronic pain experts about these conditions with time reserved to ask questions. The IMS progam addresses health professionals who want to learn more about beneficial therapies and the science related to these illnesses. This is an opportunity to learn from professionals, participate in engaging and informative workshops and to connect with people who share your passion or your story.
The conference will be held October 8-10, 2015 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia. We hope that you will be part of the experience! Experts will be discussing their research in lectures and workshops, with particular focus on making it accessible to you in ways that are not always evident in print. The TAP Chronic Pain Conference is an opportunity for you to have in-person exposure to and interaction with these experts. We've set aside time specifically for you to ask the experts your questions! This is an incredible opportunity and we hope you will take advantage of it.The conference will focus on the most promising chronic pain research currently being executed, and it is our hope that bringing these experts together will encourage future collaboration and research.
In addition to the workshops and presenters, the NFMCPA and IMS Presidents will offer a welcome address on Thursday evening at the President's Reception. A special dinner will be hosted Friday night, and Dr. Lynn Webster will discuss his book, The Painful Truth. The conference key note address will be offered by world renowned fibromyalgia and chronic pain researcher Daniel Clauw on the implications of the state of FM and chronic pain research for patients and health care professionals.
